🔬 Midland ACS Project SEED Program
The Midland Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) proudly supports the Project SEED Program, offering high school students immersive summer research experiences in science and engineering.
In collaboration with Central Michigan University, Saginaw Valley State University, and Michigan State University St. Andrews, we host students in real research labs where they work alongside professional scientists and mentors.
Beyond the lab, students participate in:
- Industry tours at leading local companies such as Dow, EXALT, and Hemlock Semiconductor
- Skill-building workshops and career networking events
- Research presentations at local, regional and national ACS meetings
Project SEED empowers students to explore STEM careers, build confidence, and contribute to meaningful scientific work.
